Comments: Stumbled on your site while looking for breeding habits of mourning doves!! Go figure.I really enjoyed your labor of love (I know it is labor,I run a website). Even though I have no coneection whatsoever with the subject matter, I found it to be a fascinating look at the men who gave their all in extremely trying times.I especially liked the story about "stealing the flags".

Comments: I was a machinist mate 2/c on the destroyer Hugh W. Hadley when she was mortally wounded at Okinawa on May 11, l945. We were awash and sinking when an LST came along side with pumps and medical supplies. She took us under tow and truly saved our bacon. My everlasting thanks to the LST sailors and your website.
